Under General and Partially Self Financed Category 50% of the seats are for Mangalore University candidates, 40% of the seats are for the candidates from Karnataka State other than Mangalore University, 10% of the seats are for the candidates outside Karnataka State.

Four semesters (Two years)

Candidates shall have passed the three year B.Com/B.B.M/B.B.A Degree Examination of Mangalore University considered as equivalent thereto provided they have obtained not less than 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate excluding language subjects.

Those candidates who already possess a Master Degree in any subjects and apply for admission to Masters Degree in Commerce shall be eligible for admission only after all other eligible candidates have been considered.

Four semesters (Two years) Any Graduate/ Post-Graduate of this University or any other University possessing qualifications considered equivalent by this University, with a minimum of 45% of marks (40% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) in the aggregate shall be eligible subject to the rules of selection.

Ph.D. Commerce As per University Regulation Minimum three/four years and maximum five/six years for full-time and part-time research respectively. Second class Master’s degree (at least 50% for SC/ST & Category-I and 55% for others) in the subject/allied subject.
