*Internal
Assessment
|
|
|
NOTE:
The FIRST and SECOND SEMESTER courses shall be
common to all the students. In the THIRD and FOURTH SEMESTER, the students
shall specialize in one of the three specializations, namely, Condensed
Matter Physics (CM), Electronics (EL), Nuclear Physics (NP). Students in a
particular specialization are required to take two general theory papers
and two specialization papers and conduct practicals in that
specialization. For I and II semester practicals there shall be batches
each containing a maximum of 8 students per batch, and for III and IV
semester practicals there shall be batches each containing a maximum of 4
students per batch.
|
|
|
BASIS FOR INTERNAL ASSESSMENT:
Internal assessment marks in theory papers
shall be based on two tests in each theory paper. Practical internal
assessment marks shall be based on viva voce and records in the semesters.
THEORY QUESTION PAPERS
PATTERN:
The Syllabus of each theory paper shall be
grouped into four units of 13 teaching hours. Question Papers shall consist
of Parts I, II, III and IV each containing two questions of 20 marks (each
question may be subdivided).
