Course Intake Duration Eligibility
M.A. (Kannada) 33General Seat +12 payment seat Four Semesters a) a) The candidate who have passed the three year B.A.degree examination of this University with corresponding major/optional subject/s at the degree level, or an examination of any other University considered equivalent there to are eligible for admission provided they have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the cognate subject or in Group II wherever cognate subject is not insisted upon. However, in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST the minimum shall be 40%.
b) Candidate who have passed the three year B.A/B.Sc/ B.Com. degree examination with Kannada as a second language or as major/subjects at the degree level are eligible for admission to M,A. degree programme in Kannada provided they have obtained not less than 60% of the marks in Kannada General/Minor. These marks will be equated with the marks of optional Kannada in the ration of 60:45.
Ph.D. As per University Regulation Minimum Two/Three Years and maximum five/six years for full-time and part-time research respectively. 55% Marks in M.A. Degree (50% for SC/ST/Cat-I and differently abled candidates) in the subject/allied subject.
